JSTOR is an online databases of scholarly articles on a variety of topics. This resource is ideal for students in grades 7 to 12 to use in different subjects for projects and research papers.

The Day

The Day is an engaging online newspaper that covers current events from around the world. It provides unbiased opinions on different issues and encourages critical thinking, debate and discussion. It also helps our students make informed decisions about events and issues in their day-to-day lives.

World Book Online

World Book Online provides students with access to encyclopedias, interesting articles and fun activities that connect to many subject areas.

Tumble Books

Tumble Books is a collection of online resources which features animated talking picture books, graphic novels, math stories, chapter books, videos, and non-fiction books. We hope you enjoy reading these resources at home!

Destiny LMC Catalogue

Destiny is a catalogue of all of the LMC resources. You can login and search for resources at school, in the LMC and at home. Let us know if you need any help finding a book or resource!

Dewey Decimal Shelving Game

Use this online game to practice your shelving skills and gain a better understanding of the Dewey decimal system. This game also makes great connections to numeracy as students practice placing numbers in the correct decimal order.

RAZ Kids Reading Resources

Use this link to access your child’s RAZ kids account. Students and parents can access a variety of levelled fiction and nonfiction resources to practice reading, comprehension, and fluency skills.


EBSCOhost is a powerful online reference system. It offers a variety of databases that provide readers with information on different historical topics and current events.
